Meet Dr. David Steinberg

Dr. David Steinberg brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to Good Tooth Kids Dental. After earning his D.D.S. from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 2013 and completing a General Practice Residency at VA Sepulveda in 2014, he spent over a decade treating children at a large group pediatric practice in Sacramento.

As a father of three young children himself, Dr. Steinberg has a unique perspective on children's dental care. This combination of clinical experience and firsthand parenting inspired him to create Good Tooth Kids Dental—a practice specifically designed to meet the needs of modern families. His approach focuses on creating positive dental experiences that set children up for a lifetime of good oral health habits.

Our caring staff understands that each child is unique, with their own concerns and comfort levels, and we take the time to personalize every interaction.

Our office is thoughtfully designed with children's comfort in mind. From ceiling-mounted TVs with headphones in treatment rooms to a magnetic tile/Lego wall in the waiting area, we've created an environment where children feel at ease. We also offer sensory-friendly accommodations including private rooms to limit sound and light, weighted blankets, and noise-canceling headphones for children with special needs.

Our focus on preventive care—including regular cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and early orthodontic screenings—helps establish healthy habits from an early age and prevents more serious issues from developing.

When treatment is needed, we utilize minimally invasive techniques and the latest bioactive materials. Our restorative options include tooth-colored fillings, fluoride-releasing glass ionomer fillings, and stainless steel crowns when necessary. For children who experience anxiety, we offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to help them relax during treatment. We also proudly provide care for children with special needs, with a practice designed to accommodate sensory sensitivities and other considerations.
